Finished watching Wok of Love, which was entertaining, light-hearted, and hilarious. Highly recommended for a good laugh and the food-porn, nothing serious since it does have a talking horse.
Jang Hyuk (Doo Chil Sung) portrays a gangster, loan-shark who was adorable and dorky when it comes to his unrequited love for Jung Ryeo Won (Dan Sae Woo). I knew immediately that the second lead syndrome was gonna kick-in during the beginning of the series when Sae Woo told him off the bat, there wasn’t gonna be any chances between them. You can also tell that she only has eyes for Seo Poong (main lead portrayed by Lee Jun Ho). I don’t have anything against him, but we’re talking about Jang Hyuk here, who could resist. lol He does do it in a weird Chil Sung style, saying since it was only one-side, he can love as much as he wants. hehe
I absolutely love love this drama. Bingo-watched over the weekend and could not get enough of Lee Young Oh (portrayed by the very handsome Jang Hyuk) and Gye Jin Sung, as well as, the entire cast. The writing was superb, we definitely need more stories like these. Soooo sad it was only 14 episodes (cut short due to ratings ), one of the most underrated dramas in 2016. Kudos to the screenwriter Kim Tae-Hee for creating such a masterpiece, I will be on the lookout for your other and future works. XD
Hiya minna-san! It’s been a while since I updated just about anything in the cyber world…and yes, I’m still alive and kicking. LOL RL has been super crazy and busy…I know I owe messages to some [you know who you are ] and will get them out soon, I promise. XD In the mean time, I restarted my amateur writing so go and enjoy the newest chapter to my Arashi fanfic – Fragmented Reflections at Episode 8. It stars Matsumoto Jun, Ninomiya Kazunari and Takeuchi Yuko.
Also, my Hakuouki Shinsengumi Kitan fanfic with Hijikata and Chizuru titled Beyond Dreams. Modern, alternative universe.
…and my Jang Hyuk fanlisting. So excited that I was approved for his super hunk. Did anyone see him in the CCTV3 reality show – Ding Ge Long Dong Qiang (叮咯咙咚呛 / 딩거룽둥창) – with his buddy Kim Jong Kook along with Jay Park, Kangta, Jo Seho and a few others. They were absolutely amazing in learning and performing traditional Chinese opera. I am not sure how long they were at the schools, but it was a very short period of time and they were required to compete in front of a large audience in traditional attire and makeup. All of artists were fabulous, but I applaud the most to the Korean ones, it was difficult enough with the language and culture barriers. Excellent program that entertains and to bring new light to traditional arts.
Full episodes on Youtube, no English subtitles, in Mandarin Chinese
Themesong – I wished Jang-oppa had performed with them too, but Kim Jong Kook and the other were great:
Aren’t those opera dolls super cute? I really want one. XD
I just started watching Fated to Love You and absolutely fell in love the snail couple, especially Lee Gun who is portrayed by the fabulous and charming Jang Hyuk. Not only is he super smexy, his acting is simple flawless, intoxicating, passionate and brilliant. Truly a gorgeous being and so stylish in any attire he wears. XD
Hyuk Oppa saranghae!! XXD
Bonus: Lee Gun’s laugh
First, it will be annoying and irritating, then it grows on you and finally just giggle along with him. Hahaha….
