Heya minna-san! I know it’s been a while since any new posts were added, real life has been super busy and kind of crazy, haven’t been focusing on online much lately. LOL I just saw this and am extremely psyched that KIMURA is in a video game!!! *happy dance* It’s called JUDGE EYES!!
JUDGE EYES Story Trailer
The company did a pretty good job on the characters and the story seems interesting. I am somewhat familiar with them due to the Yakuza series, which my brother had played most of the games. I never really gotten into that, but JUDGE EYES is up my alley, I might just test drive when it gets released in North America. On a side note, hopefully, Nino’s day will come when he can star in one too…or it would be even better if all of Arashi was in it.
Also, happy belated 35th birthday to MatsuJun!! It better to be late than never, right?
Kimura Takuya and Ninomiya Kazunari will be co-starring in a new movie titled “Kensatsugawa no Zainin” (Criminal for the Prosecution). This is the first time an Arashi and former SMAP member will be co-starring and is being tagged as a “Dream Collaboration” between these two top stars.
This suspense film is based on the 2013 novel of by Shizukui Shusuke and will be directed by Harada Masato (Japan’s Longest Day, Kakekomi, Sekigahara).
In the upcoming film, both Kimura and Ninomiya will play Tokyo public prosecutors. Kimura plays the lead as an elite public prosecutor Mogami Takeshi while Ninomiya plays novice prosecutor Okino Keiichiro who looks up to Mogami as a mentor. They both are assigned to a case with the suspect, Matsukura Shigeo, previously involved in a murder case of a middle school girl, which has already passed its statute of limitations. Mogami (Kimura) is bent on proving Matsukura’s guilt as his failure to put him to justice caused the death of his most beloved person. He is also aware of the heavy grief carried by the deceased girl’s family. As Okino (Ninomiya) doubts Mogami’s persistence in setting up the suspect as the culprit, tensions mount between the two as they stand off against each other.
“Kensatsugawa no Zainin” will be filmed from July to August and will be released 2018.
What do you think of this collab? Will we finally see Kimura on an Arashi show in the future? What more can we expect to happen?
Kimura Takuya returns to Jdramaland in “A LIFE ~ Itoshiki Hito” with a star studded cast
Get ready for the return of the King of Jdramas! Kimura Takuya leads TBS’ next Sunday golden drama timeslot with “A LIFE ~ Itoshiki Hito” (A LIFE ~ Beloved). He reunites with Takeuchi Yuko, heroine for his popular drama “Pride”, after 13 years,. Also joining him are Asano Tadanobu, Matsuyama Kenichi, Kimura Fumino, Nanao, Emoto Akira, Tanaka Min, Kobayashi Takashi, and Oikawa Mitsuhiro. With a huge cast, this is undoubtedly going to be the biggest drama to watch out for, next season. This is Kimura’s first drama two years since TV Asahi’s “I’m Home” in 2015. This is also his first drama after SMAP disbands on December 31.
Kimura has challenged numerous roles in numerous dramas, such as hairdresser, pilot, ice hockey player, and even a Prime Minister. He plays his 20th occupation as a skilled surgeon with this new drama. Original story is written by Hashibe Atsuko. The drama will start airing January 2017, Sundays, 9pm.
When Okita Kazuaki (Kimura Takuya) was starting out as a doctor, he was forced to resign from the hospital. He left his girlfriend Danjo Mifuyu (Takeuchi Yuko) behind and went to the US alone. 10 years go by and he comes back as a surgeon with outstanding skills to save his former teacher (Emoto Akira) from illness. His teacher is none other than his ex-girlfriend’s father. In the time that Okita was away, Mifuyu had married his own good friend Masao (Asano Tadanobu), who is now the deputy director and the heir of the hospital. To make matters worse, this friend was the one who plotted to drive him out form the hospital 10 years ago. Okita has to face all sorts of ordeals to save his teacher. But he never gives up amid the swirl of love, desire, friendship, jealousy and pride. Okita may be awkward but deals with patients with all his heart. His way of life gets the people working at the hospital to start asking themselves what real healthcare is.
I just cannot wait?! Love Kimura’s pairing with Takeuchi Yuko and excited for their reunion. XD The plot sounds very interesting and he will be portray his doctor role brilliantly like as always. The awkwardness aspect reminds me of Jang Hyuk in Beautiful Mind. Oh, I don’t want to be reminded of SMAP’s disbandment , but I am sure all of them will be alright. Looking forward to this drama!
