Final Fantasy X – One great game, One amazing story

Honestly, I have never been really a RPG gamer nor a fan of the Final Fantasy franchise. I would classify myself as a casual gamer who knows a thing or two about the video gaming world. Thanks to my avid gamer brother. :D Though, I have enjoyed a few games here and there, however, never has a game provided such an impact.

After playing 40+ hours of Final Fantasy X, the RPG world has truly won my heart. I have to admit that I am a sucker for love stories, but it was not the key factor of my interest. The luscious graphics for PS2, the impressive soundtrack, and the cunning gameplay were what really had captivated me. I would say that this would have provided an ultimate package for any RPG beginner.

It is definitely One emotional and epic journey that you do not want to miss!

I will touch more when I get a chance. Need to get back to some work..hehe…. :D

Okami Artbook – Unique and quite lovely

Truly beautiful, isn’t it? After a two month postponement due its backorder status , the Okami artbook had finally arrived. The prolong wait was certainly worth it, I can dance around in this treasure in no shame. :P The artbook is simply amazing and quite unique! I really don’t believe there are enough words to describe it. As they say a picture is worth a thousand words.

The above are just a smidge of what can be seen in the lovely artbook. It’s still on sale at Amazon for a very reason price, 27 bucks. Definitely a mere price to pay compare to my other fandoms. :P Some additional scans can be found on Imeem.

WiiWare – LostWinds

I had spent last evening playing on a few Wii games and downloaded my first WiiWare game, LostWinds. At first glance, it reminded me of Knytt Stories – exploration-focused platforming game. However, LostWinds has a lovely and extremely striking atmosphere along with an adorable main character. The story is simple — boy mets wind deity, gains powers this special power and off he goes to his adventure. I had only played on it for about 15 minutes, therefore, the full experience has not be gain yet. From reviews, I believe he will saves his village from evil with the help of the deity. So far, it’s quite a low-pressure and slow-paced game.

One Piece Wii – Unlimited Adventure

My brother was home over the weekend and brought a copy of the new One Piece Wii game along. I’m quite excited to see the entire Mugiwara crew playable on the Wii console. From the reviews and trailers, it appears very little had been altered from the Japanese version, which I am quite relieved. If time permits, I’ll play on it tonight and let you know my thoughts later.

Below is the Japan version of the cover, definitely much, much better than the American one.
