Hope everyone is keeping cool in the northern part of the hemisphere, it’s been reach a scorching 100+ degrees here for the last week. It wouldn’t have been as agonizing if my PC didn’t died on me, you all know what I mean! Not to fritz, my new one finally arrive last night, I’m finally back up and running. It feel so so good to be able to access the Internet again at home! *does a little happy dance like a kid in a candy store*
Anyway, my song recommendation for today is Shinku by the lovely Shimatani Hitomi. I had stumbled across this out of pure accident like most treasures found on Youtube. It never hurts to try, ne!
Powerful and dramatic would be the words to describe Shinku. Its combination of strings and electronic synths hybrids into an upbeat and energetic composition. Shimatani-san’s strong and graceful vocal performance adds a magnificent effect, creating an epic and unique atmosphere which is suitable for a video game theme. The lyrics are quite meaningful, the feeling of courage and hope as one travels through life’s obstacles. It’s certainly a wonderful song to listen to any time of the day.
