Purely awesome – BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger

As many of you know, I am not a hardcore fighting-game player, mainly an RPG kind-of gal. I may play a session or two, but definitely wouldn’t spend money a this type of game. Well, after reviewing the BlazBlue trailer, I was completely sold. I was truly intrigued by its anime-like characters, fabulous 2D artwork, vivid colors and storyline. 2D certainly has not lost its touch, I was in awe while watching reviews in HD.

The limited edition is definitely something now to miss, which comes with a two-disc soundtrack and a bonus DVD filled with helpful tutorial information — all for the same price of a standard game.

Too bad the PS3 limited version was sold out in most, if not all online places(this edition is not available in stores), and had to settle for the XBox one. Since I have both systems, it was not a biggie. My brother is insisted on the PS3 one, he wanted the Blu-ray version — a moment too late though.

BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger features twelve, extraordinarily detailed, hand-drawn characters in true high-definition glory. Each character has been finely crafted to express their personality traits through unique “Drive” attacks that can turn the tide of battle instantly. Fans of the Guilty Gear series will also be pleased hear the hard-hitting rock soundtrack, composed by famed Guilty Gear creator, Daisuke Ishiwatari!

“As the spiritual successor to the Guilty Gear series, BlazBlue pushes the 2D fighting game genre by introducing intuitive system mechanics with beautiful 2D animation and gorgeous 3D backgrounds,” states Michael Manzanares, Associate Producer, Aksys Games. “Once you play BB, you’ll find it hard to go back to anything less.”
