It’s been a while since our boys released a PV for an album, I believe the last one was for Lucky Man.
Awesomeness! It reminds me of their earlier works, doesn’t it scream A.RA.SHI and Typhoon Generation!? The boys are gorgeous as always, especially in the black outfits. The contrast used was fantastic, the colorful and youthful in the first part vs. the dark and mature for the latter. Oh-chan was adorable with that Dragonball Z hair style LOL, Jun-kun and Nino looked quite smexy too.

I like it, especially the boys in white. After all of those ballads last year, this PV is certainly treat. Ohno’s vocals are grand as always, though I was a bit surprise with his and Nino’s high pitched wails. I went LOL each time they were lip-syncing to it. Is autotune extremely popular in Japan now? It sneaked in a few times, mostly for Sho-kun and Aiba. Usage is fine as long as it not abused like certain groups *cough KAT-TUN.*
Everyone has been complaining about the title of the song — where is the snow or it’s too early for Christmas? I do not believe this is for white fluff, but holds a deeper meaning, a metaphor. Snow probably symbolizes purity, innocence and virtue. The Ooku certainly is a place without these characteristics. No matter if it houses men or women, the place is tainted with greedy, hatred, and lust. I haven’t gone a chance to read the manga yet, but am positive that Mizuno Yunoshin (portrayed by Nino) and the shogun (played by Shibasaki Kou) do not have clean slates — hidden secrets, dark past, etc. It is possible that their encounter is life changing and invigorating.
