You’ve guess it, another RPG adventure begins for moi. This time, Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana was selected. The completed of Persona 3 had taken place about a month ago and went on a break. However, the itch could not be suppressed any longer and wanted to play a new game. My brother had suggested Atelier Iris, thus, my journey begins with this NIS America title.
The game is set in the world of Regallzine, home to alchemy and mana or magical spells. The kingdom is separated due to war, internal affairs and secrets. Our hero is Klein Kiesling, who is a wandering alchemists. The adventure begins when he meets face-to-face with a monster and a girl, named Lita Blanchimont, rescues him…. You can find more info on the Atelier Iris: Eternal Mana site.
The hand-drawn backgrounds and sprites are nice in the Playstation 2 environment; the character designs are especially cute. It has a traditional turn-based battling system with a dash of cool-looking special effects; it also has a good number of random battles. Soundtrack is upbeat and cheerful, has a Japanese anime flavor much like most RPGs.
The game has been interested and fun, played about 5 hours so far. I especially like the Help menu feature, which provides hints to your next objective. Usually find myself using this during the begin of my game session.

On a side note, I had just pre-ordered Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete from Yesasia. Yep, this one includes the Final Fantasy XIII Trial. Though, I have seem Advent Children previously, the graphics are too impressive not to avoid. Yes, it was expensive, but who would miss an opportunity to play FFXIII.
