Jun Matsumoto is cast in TBS drama series “The 19th Medical Chart.” The drama series is based on webcomic “19 Banme no Karte” by Katsuhito Fujiya. For Jun Matsumoto, the drama series will mark his first time playing a doctor in his 30 year acting career. Jun Matsumoto will play Akira Tokushige in “The 19th Medical Chart.” He works as a general practitioner and relies on conversations with his patients to find out what is best for them.
“The 19th Medical Chart” will first air July, 2025 in Japan (takes over TBS’ Sunday 9PM time slot after “News Anchor“).
Plot Synopsis by AsianWiki: Akira Tokushige (Jun Matsumoto) works as a general practitioner in a newly established general medicine department of a hospital. The specialty of general medicine is the 19th new field in Japan’s medical system, which was previously classified into 18 specialties. Doctor Akira Tokushige examines his patients and takes into account their lifestyles, home environment, and state of mind, regardless of their gender or age. His greatest weapon is not his surgical skills or his ability to detect a disease immediately, but his questioning of patients and listening to what they say. Sometimes he sees through a lie hidden behind a patient’s story. Through repeated conversations, he is able to find the best solution and lends a helping hand to their way of life.
I cannot to see this, it has been a while since I have seen a MatsuJun drama or any Japanese one. Been stuck in the K-Drama world for some time now. 😉 The drama seen interesting and it is the first time he will be a doctor, and not to mention that he has glasses.🥰I am all for nerdy and intelligent Jun, very smexy. ❤️❤️ I really hope someone will fan-sub this or maybe it will be picked up by Netflix like Nino’s Black Pean.
