Happy Birthday, Katou!

I wish for you a melody
A sound so soft and sweet
More precious than a lullaby
In tune with your heartbeat.

There is an island, be it small
Where the sun so warms the sand
And darkness holds a dancing flame
The world lies in your hand.

Close your eyes and dream today
What you could do or be
For on this day, for you I wish
The passions of the sea.

To smell a single orchid
And feel the warming sun
Waves that softly kiss the shore
Your life has just begun.

As jewels are cut from precious stone
And time so turns to gold
Our friendship grows a fortune in
The memories that we hold.

For all the passions of the sea
And the sum of all your fears
You find that you already know
Your fortune lies within your years.

To me you are that island
A gift that God did send
And so my wish for you today;
Happy birthday, my dear friend!
