** 5-yen coins are a type of lucky charm in Japanese culture, the way the word is said, “go-en”, is the same as the word for “fate” or “destiny”.

Nino-Tamaki love! Its awesome that two of my favorite actors adore each other…they do have very good taste! LOL Interesting fact about the 5-yen coin, it’s similar in Chinese and considered a good luck charm to carry.

If Ohoku were a reality, Nino would sing to survive

Arashi’s Kazunari Ninomiya (27) and actress Ko Shibasaki (28) talked at a preview event today about what they would do if Ohoku were real, and how they found working with one another, reports Mainichi Shinbum Digital and Cinema Cafe.

The film is an adaptation of Fumi Yoshinaga’s manga series set in medieval Japan, where a mysterious disease has killed more than 80 per cent of the male population. Three-thousand of the most handsome men are now part of harem to a woman shogun, and the story follows their ambitions, jealousy, likes and dislikes for one another.

The first day of filming involved shooting the scene where Shogun Yoshimune entered a room 40 metres long, where all of the men were waiting for her.

“If I hadn’t had been fully prepared for my role, I would’ve run away (from there).

“I did it for acting’s sake, but sometimes I wondered what I would have done in the same situation. I think picking one person out of a line of people would be extremely difficult,” she said.

The press then asked the actors what they would do to get up in the ranks of a harem if Ohoku were reality.

Ninomiya said he would do what he has been for the past 11 years.

“I would start by singing every Arashi song from our debut single to our latest one,” he said.

His co-star, also said she would make use of her profession.

“I would sit by his side and do anything he wanted or I’d make a play that would show off myself (laughs),” she said.

The movie was the first time Ninomiya and Shibasaki had worked together, and the popstar could not help but praise his co-star.

“She smelled really good. Obviously, she shows amazing emotions and is an amazing actress, but on top of that she smells human, and smells like a girl.

“I didn’t have many scenes with the shogun (Shibasaki), but when I did she had cool outfits.

“I was impressed while working with her and watching her in the movie,” he said.

Shibasaki had said she thought Ninomiya had looked cool in his kamishimo outfit.

“大奥 (Ohoku)” begins in Japan cinemas on October 1. The movie also stars Tadayoshi Okura from Kanjani8, Maki Horikita, Aoi Nakamura, Hiroshi Tamaki, and Kuranosuke Sasaki.

Ah, I love Nino’s random comments and how he tries to incorporate Arashi whenever an opportunity opens. He can be so cute at time. Wouldn’t it be a sight if Nino tries to impressed the shogun with his songs/guitar? If that fails, magic can be his plan B. LOL
