5 Days of Arashi – My First Song

I’m going to do a five day tribute to Arashi, a little countdown and celebration.🎉 Let’s start with the first song 🎶 that I ever heard of them, We can make it! This was back in 2008 when I was still a novice in the J-Drama world. Yes, I was MatsuJun baited and proud of it. 😂 However, it was not the first of his dramas I have seen, Gokusen was the initial (no Arashi themesong though, shame on them 🤭), and then I watched Bambino where I found out such a band existed.😁

Though the We can make it! MV is simple, it always brings a smile to my face on the most gloomiest day. May I say, they look absolutely handsome in their military jackets! 😉 This is quite a catchy and inspirational song. It makes you want to get up, dance and bounce around with them.✨ They were so youthful back then, though Nino never ages though.😆

I think the MV has mediocre auto-translated English subtitles so here’s a much better fan version – https://yarukizero.livejournal.com/59445.html

J-Pop Group Arashi to End Activities Next Spring

Tokyo, May 7 (Jiji Press)–Popular Japanese pop group Arashi has announced that it will end its activities after holding a concert tour around next spring.

According to the announcement made through the website of the group’s paid fan club on Tuesday, the fan club’s activities will also be terminated, at the end of May 2026.

The five-member male idol group is composed of Masaki Aiba, 42, Jun Matsumoto, 41, Kazunari Ninomiya, 41, Satoshi Ohno, 44, and Sho Sakurai, 43.

After its debut in 1999, Arashi released many hit songs, supported by a wide fan base. The group performed in “Kohaku Uta Gassen” (red and white song battle), the iconic year-end music show of Japan Broadcasting Corp., the country’s public broadcaster better known as NHK, for 12 years in a row.

Despite its popularity, Arashi suspended its activities as a group at the end of 2020 after holding an online concert on New Year’s eve, with leader Ohno taking a break from the show business indefinitely.

I found about this 2 days ago and took a minute to take in the news. I was not surprised and so happy that they would provide us with one final tour. I really hope that they would allow non-fan club member to purchase tickets so we, international fan, can appreciate them one final time. I am also grateful that Oh-chan decided to come out of his semi-retirement and allow Arashi be one again. It must have been difficult for him, but I am sure he is excited and finish off with a big bang.

I found this fanart on Pixiv and love it to bits, I truly think this is what they are up to:

I also agree with what ureshiiarashi on X said on this post, never put words into my mouth lol :
