Nino’s Cell Phone Wallpaper Is Jun-kun

Arashi member Ninomiya Kazunari is leading a successful career as an actor as well as an artist. For today let’s take a look at a rather strange side he showed during a recently broadcast radio program! It all started when a question sent by a fan was read out. “In [the magazine] POPOLO, [Matsumoto] Jun-kun said that Nino [Ninomiya] was using a picture of Jun-kun as his cell phone wallpaper. Is that true? What sort of photo is it?” Ninomiya pulled out his cell phone and showed the wallpaper to the other members inside the radio booth. “When I asked [Matsumoto] ‘Was this taken when you were 17 or something?’ he got mad and said ‘That’s when I was learning how to walk!’” He really was using a photo of a very young Matsumoto as his wallpaper. “(In the picture) His facial features are pronounced.” “He has long legs. He looks like Donald Duck. Why are all babies like that? How old was he?” Though nobody knew exactly why he was so interested, Ninomiya has been obsessed with baby Matsumoto ever since.

Ninomiya had used photos of people close to him as wallpapers, like his mother, sister and a young Ohno. Last year he even used a photo of Kansai Johnny’s Jr. member Kiriyama Akito. On a side note Aiba apparently is using a photo of a child actor who he is costarring with as his wallpaper. Matsumoto is using a black and white picture of Ohno Satoshi for a peculiar reason. “Because it looks like a photo of a deceased person.” Lots of different kinds of pictures are being used among the members as wallpapers. But from people outside the group it might all look a bit strange!

Aww, Matsumiya is just too darn cute, brought such a big smile on my face. This is why I love Arashi sooo much, they genuinely care for one another with no shame!

Because it looks like a photo of a deceased person. LOL I laughed so hard when I read that! Poor Riida, Jun-kun is such a DoS, no really. LOL XDDD

Now I’m wondering what the other member’s wallies are — Riida: maybe his most prized catch(fish) or Chinen-kun; Aiba: probably Koharu-chan (read somewhere that he was, she is so kawaii) and Sho-kun: Yattaman??

Ninomiya Kazunari will be starring in Gantz movies

gantzmovie

Hiroya Oku’s sci-fi action manga “GANTZ” is being adapted into two live-action films planned to be released in 2011. The movies will star Arashi’s Kazunari Ninomiya (26) and actor Kenichi Matsuyama (24).

Shinsuke Sato is directing the films, which have reportedly been given a budget of 4 billion yen, with lots of CG involved. It is said that producers are aiming to make the film suitable for general audiences, which means that it may likely lack the violence of the original manga.

“GANTZ” has been serialized in Young Jump since 2000. Kei Kurono (Ninomiya) and Masaru Kato (Matsuyama) are two young man who should be dead after a train accident, but they are summoned back to life by an entity known as GANTZ. Under GANTZ’s orders, the two are repeatedly sent on missions to fight against alien beings. So far, 26 volumes of the manga have been released in Japan, selling more than 10 million copies combined.

Although Kei and Masaru are high school students in the manga, their characters will be older in the movie. Kei has been turned into a college student looking for work, while Masaru is already working and taking care of his younger brother. The two childhood friends happen to meet again on a subway platform.

Oku’s manga is still being serialized, but the two movies will tell a complete story with an original ending.

Filming is scheduled to start next month. The first movie is expected to hit theaters in winter 2011, while the second is slated for spring 2011.
