Arashi provides 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics themesong

While L’Arc~en~Ciel provides the theme song for NHK’s coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and singer Ai Otsuka does the same for Fuji TV, this time Arashi’s been appointed to sing the theme song for NTV. The song is titled, “Yurase, Ima Wo” and so far no other details have been revealed (as to whether it’ll be released on CD etc..). The song will also be used as the winter theme for NTV’s news show, Zoom In SUPER. This is the 3rd time that Arashi gets to sing an Olympic theme, the formers being “Hero” used for 2004 Athens Summer Olympics and “Kaze no Mukou E” for 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics.

Weeee~ A new song, I’m liking it so far. It’s quite catchy and addictive, cannot wait for the full version. Hmm…I wonder if Sho-kun will going to Vancouver to do some news coverage, though its a bit too far from where I am.

News Coverage on 2009-2010 Johnny’s Countdown

Happy new year, minna-san!! I hope all had a wonderful and safe one. As always, it’s a delight to bring in the new year with the Johnny’s family, love seeing the interaction between the groups since it’s quite rare throughout the year.

The best part of the event: Arashi vs Kanjani8

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP8USMUQVQo

Arashi was so cute during this performance, love the kawaii chicken dance. They were so happy and full of energy; I’m quite fond of this performance, might rip the song from the video. Just listening to it makes me grin from ear-to-ear. The boys are always in harmony no matter what song it is.

On the other hand, Kanjani8 had performed One Love. Unfortunately, they were not able to do much justice to the song, however, it was still enjoyable with their adorable dance moves. I’ve been a fan of their variety shows for some time now, though I’ve only found a few enjoyable Kanjani8 songs. Overall, the countdown was a treat.

Arashi “Hijacks” Omotesando Station

[The] Arashi’s posters, which are for promotion of the new drama “Saigo no Yakusoku/最後の約束 (lit. The Last Promise)”, are hijacking Omotesando station from December 28th. The drama will be aired from January 9th and it has been 10 years since all five members play the lead roles in one drama together.

Big images of five members are shown on the posters, with their mouths taped up and tied according to the story. These posters are put up on ten pillars in the station, and at the same time, tied up with real ropes! In addition, there is one special large-size poster with 5.8m in width and 2m in height. “We are held hostages in the drama, but we will hijack the Omotesando station at the beginning of the New Year! Please don’t untie the rope.” said Jun Matsumoto. The posters will be displayed until January 3rd. You should better go and check it out!

I’m getting more and more existing after seeing the trailer, love the suspense aspect. Jun-kun was so darn cute with his comment, Please don’t untie the rope. He is such a masochist at heart! I would love to see the pillars, who wouldn’t want to see half-naked Arashi, ne. :glassy:

UPDATE:
Kyaa~~~ Look what I’d found. Thanks to fybabe, the pictures of these smoking hot, noseblooding posters can be found at Flickr. XO

My mind went blank after seeing these, really wish I was in Japan to see them up-close and personal. This was such an awesome PR move and definitely draws attention. I’m sure massive fangirls are swamping the station now…hehe.
