Home Chef Meal Delivery Review

trckrtrtHappy Halloween, minna-san!

I have longed wanted to try a food delivery service and Home Chef caught my eye a few weeks ago. Well…mainly due to the fabulous Groupon deal so my first box was practically half off. XD Though, a discounted rate is no longer available for the weekly meal deliveries, I am still with their service. That’s ought to something before I am quite particular when it comes to food. They ship using FedEx which I never had an issue with, always prompt. Ingredients are delightedly fresh, recipes are easy to follow and the meals are restaurant quality. You can skip as many weeks as you like (I did a couple of time as I was away) and cancel at anytime. Doubt that will be my case as it saves trips of going to the grocery store and purchasing a bundle of ingredients in large quantities. Definitely time and money-saving while eating delicious and healthy meals. Cooking has never need this fun!

Sorry for the low quality phone pictures, these are from my 2nd box:

Lobster Thermidor and Grilled Sirloin, absolutely divine!!

My very first subscription box – Graze!

Well, its the beginning of summer and I wanted to try something new. I’ve got a few friends that jumped on the subscription box bandwagon a while back and I was quite skeptical. You pay a specific amount for a certain period like a week or month and you receive a box of mysterious goodies. I was thinking so you pay to get junk in the mail, nice little marketing strategy which I wanted to steer away. Well, I somehow joined a little snack company called Graze and have became hooks to their natural snacks.

For only $6 per box and you get four delicious little treats that will have you wanting for more. Although you would not be able to select which snack gets shipped to your door, but there is a rating system on their website which comes in handy. So for ones that you would like more to be delivered, be sure to select the “love” option. I’m always excited when I see my little Graze box since I don’t know what scrumptious and mouthwatering treat awaits me.

Here’s what I got this month:

Picspam of recent food obsessions

It’s been a while since I had posted anything significant so it’s been decided to do something fun and random. I’ll be doing a few picspams of my recent favorites throughout the next couple of weeks until I get tired or you get bored. Yeah I’m just being so lazy to type. LOL

The following have been in my cravings for the last month…feel free to share yours, I would love to try anything new:

Chinese Walnut Shrimp – I had dinner with a friend of mine who recommended this, never tried in my life and fallen hopelessly in love with this. The recipe found here is so delicious and easy.

Oven Fried Chicken – This has been a childhood favorite of mine, however, I found deep-frying to be so unhealthy. The recipe found here is fabulous.

Persian fried chicken

…and lastly, Nutella Hazelnut Spread, which is so heavenly. XD I have it almost every morning on breads and in my oatmeals.
