Kinki Kids’ Namida, Hitohira

Recently, I came across Namida, Hitohira while previewing Kinki Kids’ Phi (Φ) album. Compared to the boys norm, the melody is quite upbeat, somehow it reminds me of Cantopop of the 1990s. Its catchy tune and smooth vocals of the Domoto duo, make it very enjoyable, as well as, addictive. The song has quickly become a favorite of mine.

By the way, this is the themesong to the comedy series, Sushi Oji, which had starred Koichi-kun a few years back. I have not gotten a chance to watch it though, but I heard it was pure crack.

Here are the lyrics In Romaji and English:

Naida, Hitohira(涙、ひとひら) – Tears, One Drop

Just get up, Just get up. Just get up, Don’t give up. Believe you
Without losing pure feelings
Just get up, Just get up. Just get up, Don’t give up. Believe you
Without losing pure eyes

Ming Yue Guang – Ma Shang You and Zhang Yao

(Moonlight) is such a beautiful song; the vocals are extremely soothing along with its calming composition. I also had noticed that the first four lines had incorporated 静夜思, an infamous poem written by 李白 – Chinese poet from Tang Dynasty.

I believe it is the themesong for Chinese drama, 大人物 starring Nicholas Tse and Angelina Lee. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Lyrics:

Ohno Satoshi’s solo, Rain

I enjoy most, if not all of Oh-chan’s solos, his vocals are absolutely amazing, powerful and passionate. He definitely has the voice of an angel, one of the best among in Arashi and JE. Of all of his solo, Rain , ranks as number one on my charts – impressive and intense lyrics.

Rain
Vocals: Ohno Satoshi
Lyrics: IntoGroove
Music: Peter Bjorklund, Joel Eriksson

Ame no oto hibiku kimi no koe kieta
Juwaki no mukou ni

The sound of rain echoed, your voice disappeared
over the telephone’s receiver.

Kimi wa dare to iru no?
Himitsu wo kakushite
Boku ni suki to iu

Who are you with? I will make it a secret.
Say that you like me.

Kuchibiru wo boku no sore kasane
Osaete dakiyoseru

My lips are sealed.
I suppress my feelings and embrace you.
