Sakurai Sho – More info on Yatterman

Happy December and Aiba month, minna-san! Ogenki desu ka.

Yatta, more news on Sho-kun’s new movie, Yatterman. This is a live-action counterpart of the anime with the same title. More information can be found at Wikipedia.

LOL Sho-kun has really transformed into Gan-chan with the blond hair and very expensive costume. It appears that Yatterman was quite popular in the late 1970’s. Sho-kun noted that the director and staff are from that same generation. Thus, they are very familiar with the anime and wish to stay true to it as much as possible.

Matsumoto Jun – The Hidden Fortress: The Last Princess to be in Cannes

Definitely, exciting news! I know this is sort of old, but I wanted to share it since it’s quite big. When I first viewed the trailer, somehow it was screaming Cannes! I am delighted that Hidden Fortress will be shown in the film festival along with a handful of other brilliant productions. I hope Jun-kun will be able to attend with Masami Nagasawa for the screening, however, he’s quite busy with the Arashi concerts now. I really don’t want him to overwork himself, health is more important than anything else….

Hooray!! Not one, but TWO back-to-back highly anticipated movies starring Jun-kun, just cannot wait for them to be released! Thought, I was over Doumyouji and Makino, now there is more…soo glad that they decided to provide us with a definite ending. The Last Princess looks great too; never seen a Japanese period piece before, I believe I’m going to enjoy it very much.
