Kinki Kids’ Namida, Hitohira

Recently, I came across Namida, Hitohira while previewing Kinki Kids’ Phi (Φ) album. Compared to the boys norm, the melody is quite upbeat, somehow it reminds me of Cantopop of the 1990s. Its catchy tune and smooth vocals of the Domoto duo, make it very enjoyable, as well as, addictive. The song has quickly become a favorite of mine.

By the way, this is the themesong to the comedy series, Sushi Oji, which had starred Koichi-kun a few years back. I have not gotten a chance to watch it though, but I heard it was pure crack.

Here are the lyrics In Romaji and English:

Naida, Hitohira(涙、ひとひら) – Tears, One Drop

Just get up, Just get up. Just get up, Don’t give up. Believe you
Without losing pure feelings
Just get up, Just get up. Just get up, Don’t give up. Believe you
Without losing pure eyes

Arashi – Troublemaker Single to be released

The boys’ first 2010 single will be released March 3, 2010. Here’s the description from Yesasia:

The first artist to top Oricon’s annual single, album, music DVD, and overall sales charts in the same year, Arashi was without a doubt the biggest act in J-pop in 2009. The group is coming out equally strong in 2010 with the new eighties-style power pop single Troublemaker, the theme song of Sakurai Sho’s TV drama Tokujo Kabachi!!. Side track Yurase, Ima wo is NTV’s theme song for their 2010 Winter Olympics broadcast.

Looks like the limited edition comes with the music video DVD along the regular/normal one includes a bonus track titled Mo Ippo.

They can be pre-ordered on Yesasia at Limited Edition and Regular Version.

Guess I was wrong, had thought it would be a double-A side this time, but I’m still very happy. You’ve got to love the title, Troublemaker…hehe! On a side note, I truly hope that Sora Takaku will be on the next single or album release, love this one to bits too.

Arashi – Sora Takaku & Troublemaker (full version previews)

Here’s the full version of Sora Takaku, themesong to Saigo no Yakusoku’s which had starred all five of our boys:

This definitely caught me by surprise, wasn’t expecting an upbeat song, maybe something along the lines of dark and sexy like Truth. But I have no complaints, Sora Takaku is a very good song. As always, the Sakurap is awesome and the lyrics represent so many things, which Jun-kun had previously pointed out. The Kanji, Romanji and English lyrics can be found here. I enjoy it even more after reading them!

…and here’s Troublemaker, themesong to Sho-kun’s drama – Tokujo Kabachi!!:
