The interview was a delight to read, the U.S. ones are always insightful and well-organized. The boys seem very comfortable and certainly have matured quite a bit.
Sharing a new favorite song of mine by Dicky Cheung (張衛健) who is one of my childhood TV crushes. He become an addiction after watching his fabulous and charismatic performance in TVB’s Journey to West. XD Though, I have long passed on since then, but he is still kept on my radar. Dicky remains charming, mischievous, adorable, and energetic as always, I continue to admire his dedication and devotion to his work and family. He definitely has matured nicely, can you believe he is 51 now?
Real Hero (真英雄) is a fantastic epic song suitable for a historical drama with a non-mainland China flair. Dicky is from Hong Kong if you’re wondering and I am quite biased about China, but my love and curiosity for its stories involving historical periods and key figures, may they be actual or fictional, endlessly continues. XD Real Hero illustrates about life during the turbulence times and transition of dynasties and war. It highlights the emotional journey and pride of being soldier, weaving his own tale. It’s wonderfully composed and written with an upbeat melody. Dicky’s performance was superb, leaving a deep impression with a sense of proudness, satisfaction, and gratification.
Inebriated, [I] lie down upon the battlefield, listening to the hoarseness of rallying cries.
Smiling, [I] watch the display of fireworks and the sea of lanterns [that light up] this world of man.
Counting [the number of times] the whole world shook, [it] is no more than scar after scar.
One becomes a king if successful and a bandit if defeated, the consequences of a single decision.
生死一霎那 豪氣永放光華
江山如此大 何處是家
過重重關卡 看盛世的煙花
贏盡了天下 輸了她
Life and death [are decided in] a moment. Heroism forever radiates splendor.
The land is so vast; where is home?
Making [my] way past outpost after outpost, watching the fireworks of an age of prosperity,
[I] have won all of the world [but] lost her.
顛覆了天下 貪一夜浮誇
人生只不過 一場廝殺
赤血染黃沙 青春成白髮
若是真英雄 怎會怕
Having overturned the world, [I] covet a night of boasting.
Life is no more than a vicious fight at close quarters.
Scarlet blood dyes the yellow sand. Youth turns into white hair.
If one is a real hero, how could one be afraid?
快刀斬亂麻 金戈伴鐵馬
收拾舊山河 再出發
不死的戰馬 心不會崩塌
我是真英雄 怎會假
Quick swords cut through tangled hemp. Shining spears accompany armored horses.
[I’ll] take care of and arrange the mountains and rivers of old before taking off.
[Riding upon] an undying warhorse, [my] heart will not crumble.
I am a real hero—how could it be false?
醉卧于沙场 听呐喊的沙哑
笑看人世间 火树银花
数风云叱吒 不过道道伤疤
成王败寇 一念之差

Just finished watching Cinderella and Four Knights and fell in love with this fun and adorable drama, especially the OST. Park So-Dam , who plays Eun Ha-Won, is one fabulous and talented actress, this is the second series I have seen from her and she is definitely a favorite of mine now. Her 4 knights were superb as well, Jung Il-Woo is certainly one hottie. Anyway, my bias from the OST is My Romeo by Jessi (Lucky J). The 90’s melody immediately caught by attention along with her unique and amazing vocals. I have seen Jessi a few times on Korean variety shows, mainly associated as a rapper, but she can definitely sing. Love the sassy, funkiness and finesse.
The stranger who crosses my heart
I can’t take my eyes off you
A whisper that comes into my closed heart
It softly melts me
