Happy Mother’s Day 2014!

A mother is the truest friend we have,
when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us;
when adversity takes the place of prosperity;
when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us;
when trouble thickens around us;
still will she cling to us,
and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness,
and cause peace to return to our hearts.

Spring, please come soon!

The winter storm pax continues again in northeastern U.S. today and much of what had accumulated previously from the weeks before are still evident outside. While I sit warmly inside near the lit fireplace, I glance through the window at the wintry scenery and try to catch up on reading. The earth blanketed in a white coat of fluffiest is gorgeous and a day off from work (most business and schools are closed today) is always nice, however, if you have shoved out of it more than you can count on your fingers, the one word that comes to mind is dreadful. I don’t get me wrong, I love the crisp and powdery substance once is a while, but this year has been beyond imaginable. Darn Punxsutawney Phil for seeing his shadow last week, but I guess the good news is we only have four weeks of coldness left, hopefully I will be able to survive by then.
