Day 11: Post a cute picture/screencap of Miki Shinichiro
Isn’t he adorable? We can easy locate a kakkoii picture of him, however, cute ones are rare. This was too precious not to be saved or shared, looks like he was having a good time at one of his go-karting events. It was found via Google Images; if the original source is known, please let me know, I will definitely credit.
I’m sure that those that follow my blog know that my ultimate favorite solo of Miki-sama’s is Gyakufuu no Toki ni Hitori. You can find my previous post regarding the song with Romaji and English lyrics here. Hmm…for my second most favorite, I would have to go with One Night Cruising, which is the most listened to along side with my first choice. This is the ending theme to the Haru wo Daiteita OVA, sang by Katou Youji who voiced by my beloved.
Honestly, this did not left an impression after my first viewing of the OVA like most. It was not until I read all 14 volumes of the manga that I become obsessed with all Haru wo Daiteita related things. XD I found the song to be a delight with its amazing beats which allowed Miki-sama’s talented vocals to shine lovely.

It is a world where magic and science coexist. Rayotte Steinberg, a lone wolf “tactical sorcerist”, fights against monsters. They used to be human beings, but they have overused forbidden power, magic, to turn into monsters. What he wears is “mold”, the straitjacket that keeps him human. He carries an explosive magic wand. If he casts magic, he moves one step closer to being a monster. If he doesn’t, he will be killed. Among the harsh battles, he will face a sin he committed in the past.
I’m not going to write a review since the above synopsis explains it all. Let’s talk about Steinberg…. He was one of those individuals that you would immediately categorized as kakkoii, as soon as, he stepped into the scene. Steinberg was such a complicated badass that followed his own rules and was determined to correct things outside of the norm or standard boundaries. With a dark past that haunted him on a daily basis, he continued to fight to save humanity without losing to his own demons.
Steinberg was such a delight to watch, extremely interesting and compelling. You might classify him as an anti-hero due to his brutality and ruthlessness. Although, he is flawed, his motivations were to seek justice, as well as, to take responsibilities for his actions (good or bad).
The 3 episode OVA was certainly too short and I wanted a longer taste. Hopefully, one day a series will be produced, there is more than enough material from the original light novel to be animated (10 volumes so far and still counting). Of course, Miki-sama will need to return as Steinberg. He had given so much life to the character that I could think no other could take this role.
