Nino featured on CNNGo: Japanese actors who can actually act

Look what I had stumbled upon, the article mentions about our very own Nino. Here is the excerpt:

Kazunari Ninomiya

A household name in Japan as a member of boy band Arashi, 26-year-old Kazunari “Nino” Ninomiya is an extremely busy stage and screen actor, songwriter and radio personality under influential talent factory Johnny’s & Associates. He’s best known internationally for his humanistic portrayal of Private Saigo in Clint Eastwood’s “Letters From Iwo Jima,” which some say forms the heart of the film. With a clear and intelligent face, he also impresses in an early role as a sociopathic teen in “The Blue Light” and movie-stealing cameo in road movie “Heaven’s Door.” His role in upcoming manga adaptation “Gantz” is generating considerable Internet buzz. A true example of natural talent.

Other talented actors/actresses that were listed included Shinobu Terajima, Ryo Kase, Sakura Ando, Masato Sakai, Tae Kimura and Yuriko Yoshitaka.

So happy that there is finally some international recognition for Nino and other brilliant Japanese artistes. He is truly a gifted and impressive actor, he always steal the spotlight whenever he is on screen. I really hope that he will be to work with others that were on the list, there are so many talented yet so underrated artistes in Japan.

Some additional ones that I wish to included would be Kimura Takuya, Hiroshi Abe, Matsumoto Jun, Ohno Satoshi, Shinohara Ryoko, Amami Yuki and Kimura Yoshino.

Hiroshi Tamaki Wants to Collaborate with Stephen Chow

Tamaki Hiroshi held his concert last night at the Hong Kong International Trade & Exhibition Centre in Kowloon Bay. As he had some free time in the afternoon, he accepted interviews from the press, however he arrived about an hour late. Tamaki revealed during the interview that he will be singing and playing the guitar at the concert. He will also be speaking a few lines in Cantonese to introduce himself. At the end of the show, there will be a handshake event to get up close and personal with his fans. As this is already his fourth/fifth time in HK, reporters asked him on his impressions of the ladies here. Tamaki replied: “HK women and Japanese women are quite similar. Both have their charms.”

While on the topic of HK artistes, Tamaki said: “If there is a chance I would like to work with Stephen Chow. I really enjoy his films, especially comedies.” Tamaki appeared to have lost a lot of weight recently. He explained that he was indeed heavier before, but he started going to the gym two months prior to his concert to get back in shape. Tamaki also mentioned he spent time exploring the area close to his hotel and had a chance to eat Chinese food. He hopes to have hot pot after his concert to celebrate. When asked when he’ll be leaving HK? He says he still has to attend a fan meet today.

It would be purely awesome, let’s all pray that Tamaki-kun and Stephen Chow could do a collaboration! I would be swimming in blissfulness if these two (both favorites of mine) could share the same screen. I will be practically in heaven. XO

Also, I hope Tamaki-kun will get back in shape soon, he appears to be extremely thin and undernourished now. He looked extremely healthy as Chiaki-sempai, ganbatte!
