Sakurai Sho – Injured during rehearsal

I read this shocking news on the Arashi LiveJournal community just moments ago. It appears that Sho-chan had fell off the stage during rehearsal. His right arm thumb was fractured along with minor leg injury. Apparently, he would have dove head first if his arm didn’t break the fall. (Thank god!!!) He was taken to the hospital immediately and the injured areas placed in a cast. The healing process would take approx. 2 weeks. Nino was by his side during the ride to the hospital.

Poor Sho-kun, this is just terrible, but sooo relieved that he is alright. The rest of the members must have been extremely worried. Brave thing is still going on with the concerts, he should really rest.

Edited: The injury might have only been his thumb rather than arm. Okay, I’m a bit less worried now. Unfortunately, there’s still no confirmation, I just have to wait until an article is released.

Update: Finally obtained official information regarding Sho-kun’s injuries from a newspaper posting via LiveJournal and a fan who had attended an Arashi concert yesterday. Apparently, it was only has right thumb that was fractured. I’m sooo glad that it was nothing severed, but an injury is an injury, no matter how minor it is. I cannot imagine how much pain he must have experienced and still might be. I’m glad Sho-kun is in high spirits, but I really, really hope that he does not stress himself out. Stay strong and speedy recovery to you, Sho-kun!

Randomness – June is only a day away….

Wow, I cannot believe it’s already the last day of May. Where has all of the time gone to? It feels like the the first half of 2008 just breezed by like a storm. Reflecting back brings a smile — learned plenty of things, met a few fabulous people, entered my journey into online blogging and began my Japanese fandom obsession.

I am quite happy to have learned so much of Japanese culture and its superb entertainment arena. Just wondered why I had previously disliked them so much…. Oh, I remember now — the terrible dubbing and the awful plot of a certain series that will remained unnamed. Mistakenly, I had stereotyped Jdramas into the same bunch…hey, sue me, I was naive. That reminds me that I have to thank Ninomiya Tomoko-sensei for her brilliant manga, Nodame Cantabile. Without Chiaki-sama and Nodame, I would have never began my devotion to Japanese entertainment. I also have certainly grown to love its artists, especially fond of Hiroshi Tamaki, Matsumoto Jun and of course, Arashi! For dream, ne!

I’m going to leave the rest as history, don’t want to ramble on and bored you out :p

Looking forward to June and the rest of the year, as well as, any new ventures that crosses my path!

Arashi – One Love (JunStyle)

The people at Livejournal are just wonderful, found a posting by ytec304. She had kindly provided a copy HYD Final’s themesong(full version), One Love; it was aired on JunStyle last evening. Jun-kun is such a darling, letting us preview the song before the CD is even released. Just finished listening to it for the third time, I really like it. Quite lovely, fits perfectly with HYD Final. Now I am even more anxious to watch the movie! Click here for the posting and download link.

On a side note, I am treating myself to a few Arashi and HYD related items. The following were purchased/pre-ordered the following:

Just couldn’t resist on the Arashigoto, read a few translations for the boys’ 10,000 word interviews and wanted the book at hand. Besides it marks their 5th anniversary commencement, definitely a keepsake. The preorders speak for themselves.
