Ballad of the Long Wind by Liu Yuning

Just started watching Chinese drama, A Dream within A Dream (書卷一夢) and liking it a lot. It’s been a while since I have been intrigued by a Chinese production. It is so hilarious, the story so far is not the greatest, but the comedy is top-notch, which makes up for it.

Anyway, I fell in love with the themesong, Ballad of the Long Wind (長風謠), which is sang by the main lead, Liu Yu Ning (摩登兄弟劉宇寧). The tune is very catchy and has an ancient feel with the flute. It matches the story very well. The vocals are amazing and showcases a lot of emotion, which illustrates how good of an artist he is.

I am a little familiar with Liu Yu Ning, first saw him on Our Song Season 6 (我們的歌) and liked his singing, especially the remixes of oldies. I am happy see him in more roles. will definitely be on the lookout for him now.

I also saw these plushies and really want to get them from China. I normally use Superbuy as my proxy, but has stopped for a while due to tariffs. They are so darn adorable, I might need to heft out a few more bucks just to get them now.

Phoenix Legend’s (鳳凰傳奇) are a Chinese music duo that blends traditional or folk music with hip hop and rap elements. They are quite popular and have sold over millions of albums in China. Their songs showcase the vocals of both Yangwei Linghua and Zeng Yi beautifully. They have cheerful and positive melodies that you want to sing along. Today, I am going to share two of their popular songs, The Most Dazzling Folk Style and Lang De You Huo.

Do Do Cheng Praises Xiao Zhan’s Performance in The Untamed

I was checking out some old episodes of the Hong Kong radio talk show, 口水多过浪花 (When I Was Young I Listen To The Radio) and found a gem. Carol (Do Do) Cheng was praising the performance of Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, who would have thought?! DoDo Jie is a renowned actress and talk show host in Hong Kong. It was a surprise and delight to hear from someone in entertainment business that enjoys BL content and had lots of fun watching the series. She shares her insights and her newfound love for the boys. I love how she is also not afraid to be a fangirling. Everyone knows, once you step into The Untamed world, there is no going back.

Someone, wonderful, had uploaded the snippets from the radio show on BiliBili. Unfortunately, there’s no English subs; if you understand Cantonese or traditional Chinese characters, you can give it a listen.
