Arrival by by Morikawa Toshiyuki and Miki Shinichiro

Katou & Iwaki from Haru wo Daiteita

A few days ago, I accidentally stumbled across Arrival when doing a search on Miki Shinichiro (always looking for new things to be obsessed with ) and have been tickled pink ever since. XO This is an image/character song sang by Iwaki Kyousuke and Katou Youji which are portrayed by Morikawa Toshiyuki and Miki-sama, respectively. The track can be found via drama CD, Haru wo Daite Ita Special Premiere.

By the way, this yaoi series is written and illustrated by BL queen, Nitta Youka. Haru absolutely a fabulous read if you are interesting in this genre and/or looking for something new.

Arrival is a beautiful track with amazing and positive lyrics reflecting on aspects of life, which fits perfectly for Iwaki-san and Katou, may it be for their careers and relationship. As their lives intertwined with roller-coaster rides, the journey remains optimistic and fulfilling, as well as, leading toward something sweet and tender. There is a saying that for every storm, a rainbow awaits afterwards. Quite true in many cases, don’t you think?

The vocals performed by Morikawa-san and Miki-sama are astonishing, they harmonized beautifully giving the song an even more energetic atmosphere. With its upbeat tempo, smooth rhythm and rousing chorus, it is guaranteed that a second and three taste will be needed.

Seiyuu song or not, this is one darn awesome song! XO The combination of Morikawa-san and Miki-sama is absolutely divine, heavenly and magnificent, I have been fangirling for days now and don’t see my addiction coming to be end anytime soon. LOL

Something else I found interesting…the composer, Ueno Koji, is linked to JE?! He has written and arranged a few songs for Arashi (Natsu no Owari ni Omou Koto & Carnival Night part 2), KinKi Kids (It’s All Right), and V6 (Nemui Kyuujitsu). Kyaa~~~ most of which I adore, one more reason to love Arrival.

Here is the track, the lyrics and the English translation (by the fabulous gacktyougirl):

Arrival
Lyrics/Music/Arrangement: Ueno Koji
Vocals: Morikawa Toshiyuki and Miki Shinichiro as Iwaki Kyousuke and Katou Youji
From Haru wo Daite Ita Special Premiere (drama CD)

Hikoukigumo oikakenagara
chikai tateta awai yakusoku
kizamu toki ni iro wa aseta mo
kono mune de tashika ni ikitzuiteru

While chasing the trails of planes
The oath of a faint promise
In the ticking time the colours fade as well
In this chest they will surely continue to live

Tatoe ima kaeru basho nakushita to shite mo
Ashita e to izanaeru hikari ga areba ii

Even if now I was to lose the place I could go back to
There is a light that will lead me into tomorrow

Boku ga yume mita sekai wa
kimi ga negau mirai e to tsutzuiteru
sora o yuku tori no you ni
jiyuu na kaze o atsumete tobitatou
michinori wa tooi kedo
itsu no hi ka sakebiau koe wa todoku kara

The world I dreamed of is
where you can continue on into the future you hope for
Like a bird into the sky
Fly high and collect the free wind
The road is long, but
[you’ll do it] because the voice that calls out from that day reaches out

Furisosoita komorebi no shita
yurareru kage ni kasaneta kioku
utsuroi yuku keshiki de sae mo
kaerarenai mono ga mi o musunderu

Under the light pouring down from between the tree leaves
In the swayig shadows are superimposed memories
Even the scenery becomes transient
And the things that can’t return are connected to reality

Moshimo mada yuku saki ga sadamaranakute mo
unmei o koeta nara kiseki wa okoru hazu

A still moving destination must be decided
If it’s beyond fate, a miracle will occur

Kimi ga shinjita kotoba wa
boku ga nozomu sono subete tsutsumikomu
namida ni kobune ukabete
mayou koto naku hitasura kogidasou
kiri wa tachikomeru kedo
itsu no hi ka motometa sugata wa mieru kara

The words you believed in
envelop everything that I wish for
A little boat floating in tears
Rowing in earnestly without hesitation
A dense fog grows, but
(you’ll do it) because the one you wished for will be in sight

Kewashisa ni kono tsubasa o kizutsukete demo
sorezore o hikiyoseru chikara ga aru kagiri

In an unreachable place those wings are continuously injured, but
As long as there is power, they will be gathered

Boku ga yume mita sekai wa
kimi ga negau mirai e to tsutzuiteru
sora o yuku tori no you ni
jiyuu na kaze o atsumete tobitatou
michinori wa tooi kedo
itsu no hi ka hibiki au inori wa todoku kara

The world I dreamed of is
where you can continue on into the future you hope for
Like a bird into the sky
Fly high and collect the free wind
The road is long, but
(you’ll do it) because the resonating prayer of that day reaches you

Owaranai Yume no Naka de by Project Arms

I wanted to shared Owaranai Yume no Naka de with everyone. This is the fourth ending song for the anime, Project ARMS, which I have just to see. What I found amazing was this was written, composed and sang by the lending seiyuus of the series — Kanna Nobutoshi, Miki Shinichirou, Ueda Yuuji, and Takayama Minami. Sugoi, ne?! Aside from their beautiful vocal talents, their musical skills are unrivaled. What can they not do, they are truly astonishing and incredible individuals. Oh yeah, Mi-sama would be another reason to love the song!

Here is Owaranai Yume no Naka de in it’s full glory along with the lyrics from senshigakuen.com:

Owaranai Yume no Naka de (Inside of an Endless Dream)
Lyrics, Music, and Vocals by: PROJECT ARMS (Kanna Nobutoshi, Miki Shinichirou, Ueda Yuuji, & Takayama Minami)

owaranai yume no naka de dakishimeta nukumori wo
hanasanai yo itsumade mo kodou ga yobiau kara…

Inside of an endless dream, the warmth that I embrace
I won’t let it go ever because the beating heart calls to me…

nanika wo motomete ita kawaita genjitsu de
nanika wo ushinai hajime furikaeru

I was looking for something in the parched reality
I started to lose something look back again

yuganda machinami no mukou ni
yurameite iru no wa jibun no kage

Across the crooked street
That flickering thing is you own shadow

afureru namida nugutte fumidashitai ashita e
hajimari no kane hibiku yo tsukiugokasareru youni
ippo mae e to…

Wipe away the overflowing tears, I want to step forward into tomorrow
The beginning bell resounds like it’s stirring things up
One step forward…

dareka wo mamoritai to sashinoberu yuuki wa
dareka ga uketome nagara ikite iru

When you want to protect someone, courage extends its hand
When someone stop your fall, you’re alive

mukishitsuna kokoro no KAKERA ni
mune ga setsunaku naru hodo no ame

Shards of my inorganic soul
Rain in my heart painfully

itami wo shitte hajimete todokasetai kono koe
nando mo kurikaesu kara ima koko ni iru imi wo
douka oshite…

I’ve started to understand pain, this voice that I want you to hear
It’s calling out over and over again. Why am I here right now
Please tell me…

Ring A Bell by Bonnie Pink

Just started playing Tales of Vesperia a few days ago and have become addicted to the game. This would be third installment added to my Tales series collection along side with Abyss and Symphonia. With its complex character, impressive story, fun battles and awesome soundtrack, I know that my next few weekends will be immersed into the fiction world of Terca Lumireis.

In additional to the wonderful gameplay, the opening theme is a beautiful one sang by Japanese singer-songwriter, Bonnie Pink. The composition is upbeat and energetic which harmonizes lovely with the singer’s smooth vocals. The lyrics are quite fitting to the adventure and the relationship between main characters, especially Yuri Lowell. There is also a Japanese counterpart which was written/translated afterwards, however, it is not as memorable or as strong as the original one.

Ring a Bell

Original Composition: Bonnie Pink
Arrangement: Burning Chicken
Lyrics: Bonnie Pink
Vocals: Bonnie Pink

Lyrics:

Reaching up for no man’s land
To take a breath and take a chance
I walk a thousand nights to change the world
Where to go? When to stop?
Who to trust? What to say?
I found them all, just need someone to share

It’s now in the dusk every day to everyone
Ain’t so strong, I ain’t so strong to go on
Living in the past is not the way to live
I wish you could hear me say that I miss you

Why were we there back to back?
Why were we there face to face?
I must be the light when you’re in the dark
If you lose me somewhere, and your tears are in the air
I will ring a bell until you feel me by your side

Looking up into the sky, looking for the reason
Why I’m here, and why you can’t be here
Who’s to hate? Who’s to blame?
Who’s to hurt? Who’s to love?
Who decides? Why can’t we be the same?

Trying to believe walking down the lonesome road
Ain’t so far, I ain’t so far from you
Staying the way you are means solitude
I wish you were here and shook off my fear

Why were we there back to back?
Why were we there face to face?
I must be the light when you’re in the dark
If I lose you somewhere, and I’m still hanging in there
I will ring a bell until you feel me by your side

What has been in the mix too long?
There’s the peace when you’re at war
Heads or tails, you and I
Light and dark, ups and downs
What is there in the middle? What’s there to divide us?
If you’re hurt, cry and say, “Can’t you see you’re my other half?”

Why were we there back to back?
Why were we there face to face?
I must be the light when you’re in the dark
If you lose me somewhere, and your tears are in the air
I will ring a bell until you feel me by your side
